My Story

Myself and my mum have signed up for the Manchester 10K on Sunday 21st May. We are by no means runners and it's definitely a huge challenge for us! For anyone who knows me knows how much of a challenge this is for me as running does not come natural at all and at the start it definitely felt impossible!

We have started the training already and been out in the rain and even snow! We started with the couch to 5k and last week (5th Feb) ran our first park run 5K together!

I would like to raise money for Willowbrook Hospice to help them continue the fantastic work that they do.
In 2020 my grandad passed away. Each year he used to decorate his house on Freckleton road covered in Christmas lights and he built a sleigh for children to come and have their photos taken on. He never asked for donations but they came through his letterbox regardless. He always put any donations in an envelope in January and sent it off to Willowbrook hospice. My mum and I would like to raise money in memory of my grandad- her dad by running the 10K.
