My Story

🏃‍♂️ My 2026 Fundraising Challenge for Willowbrook Hospice

In 2026, I’m taking on two extraordinary running challenges to raise funds for Willowbrook Hospice, a local charity that provides specialist palliative care and support to people and families in St Helens and Knowsley when they need it most. willowbrook.org.uk

📅 The Challenges

1. London Marathon – 26 April 2026
I’ll be running the world-famous TCS London Marathon, a 26.2-mile race through the heart of the capital — with thousands of runners and crowds cheering you every step of the way. London Marathon Events

2. The Lap (Windermere Ultra Trail) – 12 September 2026
Later in the year I’ll tackle The Lap, a 75 km (47 mile) ultra-trail run around Lake Windermere in the stunning Lake District. The Lap

🗓 Training Journey

My structured 16-week marathon training plan starts on Monday 5 January, and I’ll be training consistently throughout the year. Once the marathon is done, I’ll switch focus to a trail-oriented ultra training plan to prepare my body and mind for The Lap in September.

❤️ Why I’m Running for Willowbrook Hospice

Willowbrook Hospice offers compassionate, specialist care to people facing life-limiting illnesses across our community in St Helens and Knowsley. They support not just patients, but also their families and loved ones, helping them through some of the hardest moments of their lives. It costs around £5.9 million each year to run the hospice, and most of this must be raised through donations and fundraising. Your support helps ensure this vital care can continue for those who need it most willowbrook.org.uk
